I was watching Super Soul Sunday with Oprah last night & her guest was Pema Chodron, a Buddhist nun who has written many books. They were having a discussion about becoming enlightened and some of Pema's great moments of awakening. The main idea she talked about was "All things are neutral". She said that was a profound experience for her when she realized it because you could see both sides. When she first had that insight she broke down and cried and cried because she realized that everyone is causing themselves & others so much suffering because they don't understand that. Racism, sexism, etc., all these things that cause pain and suffering because people think something that is actually neutral is bad or threatening. So cool that she is talking about one of the three concepts of meweandus.
